Hello! My name is Sebastian and I have been working in the IT industry for quite some time. As time went by my focus has shifted and I am now mainly interested in human development, interaction, and grounded aspects of spirituality that I experienced myself.
For a long and draining period, I was caught in a rat race – both at work as well as in my life in general – and eventually I hit a brick wall. Over time (and with help from others) I came to the liberating conclusion that every human being is in fact unique and has a one-of-a-kind blend of innate talents, skills, desires, and preferences and the more your life is in sync with these properties, the more naturally life flows.
The unique traits of a person often lie dormant and unrecognized, which makes life harder than it should be as we rob ourselves of our true potential and contribution. We follow expectations from others, force ourselves into roles and jobs that don’t suit us and go down paths that aren’t 100% our own.
So what’s the remedy? And this is what this blog is mainly about! We should all start to realize and acknowledge our true and unique being. Or as the Delphi oracle saying goes:
“Know Thyself!”
This doesn’t happen overnight and the paths to this might be stony, but the journey is worthwile. Once you really get to know yourself and your needs and desires, you can start to better take care of yourself.
How do you do this? You might want to undergo analytical therapy to learn about yourself, but you can also draw from the collection of tools which deal with unearthing your uniqueness like the ayurvedic type system, the Myers-Briggs Type Identificator (MBTI), the Enneagram, Human Design, and Astrology – all of them methods which I intend to write about here.
I hope you can find some inspiration and helpful thoughts here, so that your own journey might become easier and more fulfilling.
Take care! Sebastian
